Machine for Producing Dovetail Metal Decking in Malaysia

The dovetail decking design has become the preferred choice in the Malaysian and Singaporean markets.

This dovetail floor deck represents a sophisticated composite flooring system. Unlike other types of floor decking, the closed dovetail floor decking features a solid, non-perforated design. Typically constructed from steel, it can be made of either hot-rolled steel plate or galvanized steel.

Studies have demonstrated that it outperforms other open floor deck systems in terms of load-bearing capacity and shear strength.

The unique closed rib pattern ensures that the steel backing plate's ribs are thoroughly encased in concrete, offering a level of protection similar to that of steel rebar in a poured concrete slab, thereby optimizing the combined benefits of steel and concrete. The closed floor deck has seen effective use in stress-reinforced flooring systems and is known for its superior fire resistance.

Here is the dovetail decking roll forming machine we manufactured for our Malaysian client.

The machine offers the following benefits:

1. Precision cutting without deformation or burrs is achieved through the use of a 7.5 kW hydraulic cutting system, capable of cutting materials up to 1.6 mm thick.

2. The machine's frame is constructed from 400 # H steel with diagonal bracing for enhanced rigidity and stability during operation and material handling.

3. Our machine is equipped with a chain tensioner to provide additional force to the roller stations.

4. Regarding the hydraulic oil pump station, we have incorporated a large pump box with an added cooling system to prevent overheating during prolonged machine operation. Excessive oil temperature could potentially reduce the cutting power.
